In order to improve on the livelihoods of the vulnerable youth neither Girls nor Boys, Men and Women, Children of our district , as an organization, we have introduced an innovative project of grazing all forms of animals especially cattle’s, pigs and goats. This program was introduced as a mean to graze animals since they have variety of values to economy of Uganda.

Furthermore, this project was established by the TNGFU founder together with local leaders to be practiced on small scale grazing due to limited land for large scale farming yet there is a need to sustain their families financially. The challenge is start up capital.

TNGFU in conjunction with other leaders in authorities have tried to look for these animals from government being given in groups, they graze as a team on condition that the first sibling is being given to the next in line with the same field of interest (scheme)

This project was started with 2 piglets, 1 cow and 1 bull, and 2 young goats. In 2022 in 3 groups, each group with 4 members, currently the population has increased to 20 members and 25 animals

This program/project is continuing to grow though at a slow pace because of finance yet there is a problem of parasites with in the region which leads to death of many of animals however people have started benefiting out of it.

Other projects to be implemented under same category are Rabbit and poultry.

When we put a side a problem of limited capital for animal husbandry projects, it has been noticed that even grazing is still poor due to limited knowledge and inappropriate technology applied in the field. Therefore it is our request to have a “DEMOSTRATION RANCH” why it will be a school to skill all cattle keepers yet Uganda as a country we have few demonstration ranches and are very far.
